PHILOSOPHY & approach
My counseling philosophy is about helping students achieve academic readiness, social and emotional balance, and enabling them to move forward in life and create their own pathway to success. I believe that every student has the capacity to discover and chart their own path, build empathy and self esteem, and develop the skills to feel empowered by their own actions.
With an empathetic and personalized approach, I tailor each engagement to the individual needs of your son or daughter. Some of tactics I use to further students’ success include, but are not limited to:
Step-by-step guidance towards college preparedness.
Initial 2-hour meeting with students and parents.
Bi-weekly meetings for juniors and seniors.
Detailed plans geared toward completing short-term semester goals.
Month-by-month timelines for sophomore and senior year students, including setting specific objectives for tests, classes, grades, and extracurricular activities.
Preparation and compiling college lists.
Achieving mental confidence and academic readiness for applying to college and beyond.
